Be it remembered thpt the common council met in the Committee of the Whole meeting in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mon&y evening, June 13th, at the hour of 7:40 P. M.
All members were present.- Chairman Goetz presided.
RESOLUTION
A resolution authorizing the BoFrd of Public Works and Safety, South Bend to file an "�pplica,ti
to the United States of America through the Federal Emergency Administration of Public ivorks
for a lo^n and. grPnt to aid in financing the construction of Sewage Disposal Plant end Inter-
cepting Sewers Cnd designPting Burns & McDonnell Engineering Co. to furnish such information

Councilman Chambers moved that the name of Burns & McDonnell be stricken from the resolution
and that Charles W. Cole be substituted..
Councilman Hull moved to amend amended motion that Mr. Anderson the City Engineers name appear
on resolution in plPce of Burns & McDonell end. that Mr. Anderson be instructed in contrtact
to employ local engineers rs nead.ed time to time.

Councilmen'-Goetz moved to second the amendment to the Pmendment.

Councilman James moved that Mr. Anderson get in touch with stir. Logan end 1r. Jenning to meet
with the Citizens Committee, City Adh inistratiori and the City Council in regard. to V. P. A.

Councilman Hull moved to Pdjourn. Councilman Bierwagen seconded the motion. Mction carried
