Be it remembered that the Common Council met in the Ccmmittee of the Whole Meeting in the
Council ChPmbers of the City Hall, Monday evening February 21st, Pt the hour of 7 :4F•P. 114.
All ?Members were present.except Councilman Fish. Chairman Goetz presided.

The Mpyor has investigated many complaints that have been made in regard to there being no
through artery to har_dle north P:n� south traffic between Olive Pnd Walnut Streets, a, distance
of more than one hPlf mile.
The Mayor recommends thPt the Council appoint .a committee of three to join with the Board of
P,ublid Work§ to study the Pdviarbility of cnening Brookfield Street from Western Avenue to
the north. If this could be done it would Ce of great convenience to the Public.

Co,_incilman Hull moved that spi.d- go to the Bon rd of Public Works. Councilmen Kerner seconded
the motion. Motton carried.

LocPl 103 and Edward. Kluth, U. A. W. local 144 in fevor of a Housing Authority.
They were accepted by the council Pnd referred to the Housing
Mrs. HPmbley, Mr. Billings Pnd Mr. Crook spoke in favor of a Housing Authority.

Councilmen Hull moved th ^t the Housing Committee investigate the housing condition and re-
nort back to the council on March 7th. Councilman Pnlicki seconded the motion. Motion
carried.
There being no further business Counci.l,,mPn Mull moved to ad.j ourn. Counci lmnn Chambers
