SPECIAL MEETING
MINUTES
FEBRUARY 7th, 1938
Be it remembered th=at the Common Council met in Special Session in the Council Chambers of the
City Hall, -Ondsy evening February 7th, 193F, at the hour of 7:45 p.m. All members were
present. President Hull presided.

COMMON COUNCIL
You ere heeby notified that under and by virtue of the authority by lava vested in me as mayor
of the City of South Bend, of the State of Indiane, G special meeting of the Common Council
said City is bereby called to be held at the hour of 7:30 P. M., or as soon.thereFfter as con-
venient, on Mondpy evening February 7th, 1^38, in the Council Chambers in s <aid City, for the
purpose of considering the following resolution, to -wit:
"RPsol.ution approving the Allocation of Three Thousend Sx Hundred and Forty Dollars
from the appropriation in the 1938 Budget for W. P. A. Projects to Project #1012 for
Truck Hire."

RESOLITTION OF COMI? ON COUNCIL
Resolution allocating the sum of $3640.00 from the Budgeted amount in the 1935 .Budget for W.P A.
Projects to Project J1052 for Truck Hire.
IBE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend:
That it Pppenring to this body that an emergency existc for the hiring trucks by the City of
South Bend to pay sponsor's shs,re of Project #10 2, end that the sum of Thirty -Six Hundred.
Forty Dollars ($3640.00) will pay for twenty (20}5 trucks for a. period bf two (2) months, and
it appearing that this will permit the employment of a. large number of men on W.P.A. this
Council does allocate from the amount budgeted for 1935 as W. P. A. Projects the sum of Thirty-
six Hundred Forty Dollars ($3640.00) and the City Controller and the other proper officiAls of
the City are authorized and directed to take such steps as will carry out the intent of this
resolution, and the sum so spent itp to the sum of Thirty -Six Hundred For Collars ($3640.00)
may be chargeable to the eccount in said budget in the Gum of Thirty -Seven Thousand Dollars
(437,000-00)-

Councilmen Chambers moved that the resolution be adopted. Councilman Rasmussen seconded the
motion. motion carried.
Mr. Anderson stAted that this appropriation takes care of streets, work in perks, pin hook
snd river banks. The 20 trucks will be used for Civil City Projects.
'There-'being no further business Council Jemes moved to sdjourn. Councilman Rasmussen seconded
the mot?.cn. Motion carried. Council adjourned. cat 7 :50 P. -V.
