JANUARY 24th, 1938
MINUTES
Be it remembered that the Common Council met in the Reguler Session in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall, Mondfiv evening January 24th, 1938 at the hour of 7:;7 P. M. All. members
were -present except Councilman James. President Hull presided, The resdin g of the minutes were
dispensed with.

A petition having been filed by the proper legal officials of the City of South Bend, St„ Joseph
County, Indian^, in the matter of trensfer of funds and reappropriation in the amount of
$1410.70:

This matter having been set for hearing on December 23rd, at 2:15P. M,., report having been
made and all the facts having been carefully considered, This Board does 'now affirm said trans-
fer of funds ar_d reapproprinti on in the Gum of $1410.`70, as follows:

An Ordinance defining end prohibiting dishonesty and offensive conduct in the streets and
ublic places in the City of South Bend end providing a penalty therefore and fixing t time

The ordimence was given its first reading by title, its second reading in full and on
otion of Councilmsn Rasmussen wqs referred''to the Committee of the Whole. Councilman Kerner
econded the motion. Motion carried.

re may have to employ 2 consulting engineer and auditor to assist in this hearing. We maay also

r. Gordon stated ths+ they hove asked for additional equipment for W. F. A. projects in South
end for three projects, and that 20 trucks are needed.

Councilmen Hull reported that Mayor Freyermuth hr-s called e meeting of the Ways and Mesons Com-
mittee for Wednesday evening to see what can be done.
Co.zncilman Goetz suggeGted that it would be a good plea for the entire council to attend this
meeting in regprd to this W. P. A, Pppropri2tion. Councilman BierwE en seconded the motion.

There being no further business Councilmen Ra.smu -pen moved to adjourn. Councilman Kerner sec-
onded the motion. Motion carried. Council adjourned at 8:35 P. M.
