MINTUES
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the
Special Session in the Council Chambers of the City riall, Monday evening, December 6th, 1937, at
the hour of 8:15 P. M. All members were present. President Fish presided.

To the Members of the Common Council
of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
You are hereby notified that under and by virtue of the authority by law vested in me as
Major of the City of South Bend, of the State of Indiane., a special meeting of the Common Council
of said-City is hereby called to-be held at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M. or as soon thereafter
as convenient, on Monday evening December 6th, 1937, in the Council Chambers in said City, for
the purpose of considering the following ordinances, to -wit;'
ORDINANCE NO. 3239 - An Ordinence transferringihe sum of Nine Hundred Fifty -Six Dollars end
Twenty- ive Cents 4956.25)"from the Municipal Airport Fund of the City of South Bend and to
abolish the fund known as Municipal Airport Fund.
ORDINANCE NO. 3239,- An Ordinance transferring the sum of Five Hundred Ten Dollars and Seven'
Cents 510.70 from one department under the Board of Health to another department under th,
Board of Health.
ORDINANCE NO. 3240 -An Ordinance transferring the sum of Seven Hundred Dollars ($700.00) fro?
One account under the City Engineer's Office to another account under the City Engineer's
Office.-for the purchase of s new truck.
ORDINANCE NO. 3241 - An Ordinance transferring the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) frcm
one account under the City Judges to another account under the City Judges for the payment
of Special Judges.

Hundred Fifty -Six. Dollars and Twenty -Five Cents ($956.25) from the Municipel Airport Fund of
the City of South Bend to the General Fund of the City of South Bend and to abolish the fund
known as Xunicipal Airport Fund.
Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion should be re-

the City Judges to another-account under the City Judges for the payment of Sppcia.l Judges.
The Ordinance was given its third reading by title, and was placed upon its passage and
pessed by the following vote: Hull, Goetz, Bierwagen, James, Kerner, Fish, Chambers, Rasmussen
and Palicki. 9 eyes. 0 neys. Ordinance adopted.

COUNCILMAN HULL REPORTED ON THE FOOD ORDINANCE:
Councilmen Hull reported that the Ordinance Committee has made a few amendments.after meeting
with the grocers and butchers. The ordinance is now in the hands of the Health Department.
They are planning to meet with the inspectors, grocers' committee end the butchers' committee
this week and report back to the ordinance committee. Ordinance committee may be ready to
report to the Committee of the Whole Mondry December 20th.
Mr. Hunter, City Attorney reported on the Zoning Ordinance that was now appealed to the
Supreme Court.
There being no further business Councilman James moved to adjourn. Councilman Goetz seconded
the motion. Motion carried. Council adjourned at 8:35 P. M.
