June 23rd, 1937, at the hour of 7:40 P. M. All members were present. President Fish presiddd. STATE OF INDIANA ST. JOSEPH COUNTY SS: CITY OF SOUTH BEND To the Member of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: CALI, FOR SPECIAL MEETING OF COMMION COUNCIL You are hereby notified that under and by virtue of the authority by law vested in me as Mayor of the City of South Bend, Of the State of Indiana., a special meeting of the Common Council of said City- is hereby called to be held at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M. or as soon thereafter es convenient, on Wednesday evening, June 23rd, 1937, in the Council Chambers in said City, for the purpose of granting permission to hold carnival in -accordance to the follow- ing resolution: "The resolution approving the action of the Police Department and the City Controller in waiving €. license fee for the carnival operating on Prairie Avenue under the auspices of the American Legion Post 450." R E S O L U T I O N A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE WAIVING OF A LTCENSE FEE CARNIVAL OPERATING ON PRAIRIE AVENUE UNDER THE AUSPICES OF Am- ERICAN LEGION POST NUMBER 50, WHEREAS, the American Legion Post Number 50 hae requested that the City a carnival to eppepr in the City of South Bend on Prairie,4venue under payment of a license fee as provided by Ordinance #2751 of this council 27, 7.9 29 , snd FOR THE of South Bend permit its auspices v i.thout the duly adopted on March WHEREAS, it is the seneF of this body end. the feeling of the members hereof that in view of the fact thet said carnival is promoted under the suspices of the American Legion. Councilmen Hull moved that said resolution be adopted. Councilmen Goetz seconded the motion. Motion carried. Roll oc.11 on resolution is as follows: Hull, Goetz, Bierwagen, James, Kerner, Fish, Rasmussen sand Palicki — 8 ayes. Chambers — Nay.
