COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

FEBRUARY 1st, 1937
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indians., met in the
Committee of the Whole in the Council. Chambers of the City Hall, Monday evening, February 1,
1937 at the hour of 8:14 P. M. All members were present. Chairman Goetz presided.
ORDINANCE# 3200
Ordinance providing for the administration and enforcement of the regulations governing
traffic upon the Public streele of the City of South Bend establishing a city traffic engineer
end setting forth his duties, also establishing a traffic division and'bureeu and setting
forth the membership and duties of such bureau, and repealing such parts of ord- n ?nces that
may be in c -onflict herewith only insofar as the conflict and su►pplementing the traffic ordina.ncf
but in-no way repealing the intent or purr loses of said ordinances.
Councilman Chambers moved that said ordinance go to the council 'favore -bly. Councilman Berner
seconded-the motion. Motion cerried.
Councilman Hull moved that 5 deys be amended to 48 hours or 2 days in (a) of Section 7. Counci'
man Chambers seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Committee appointed by chairman Goetz to study said ordinance #3200 include the-following:
Mr Boldt, Mr. Burns- Mr. Bibbons Mr. Hunter Juge Avery, Councilmen °Goetz, Hull and Palicki.
Meeting for said committee is called for Wednesday, February 3rd at 4:00 P. M. Traffic Com-
mittee to report beck to the council on February 8th.
