STATE OF INDIANA CALL='FOR SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY SS: COMMON COUNCIL.
CITY OF SOUTH BEND
TO THE_MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL-OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
You are hereby notified that under -and by virtue of the authority by law vested in us as
Councilmen of the City of South Bend, Indiana, a Special Meeting of the Common Council of
said City is hereby called for 7 :30 o'clock P. M., on Friday evening December 1st, 1933 or
as soon thereafter as convenient for the purpose of Receiving for Third Reading and.taking
action on the following Ordinance, which Ordinance title is as follows:
An Ordinance Establishing Councilmanic Districts in the City of South Bend by.
dividing said City into six such Councilmanic Districts, and fixing -their
Boundaries, and providing for the use of voting Machines in elections for
Nominating and Electing Office'rs'of said City, and Repealing all Ordinances
and parts of Ordinances in Conflict Therewith.

REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE.
To the Common Council of the City of South Bend:
Your-Committee of the Whole to whom was referred An Ordinance establishing Councilmanic
Districts in the City of South Bend by dividing said city into six such Councilmanic Distria
and fixing their Boundaries, and providing for the use of voting machines in elections-for
nominatio% and electing officers of said city, and repealing all ordinances and parts of
ordinances in conflict therewith.'
Respectfully report that they have examined the matter, andothat in their opinion the said
Ordinance should be reported Favorable as amended by substituting a re— written Ordinance
including the amendments subomitted & accepted. Jno. C. Hiss, Chairman. The report was
accepted and ordered to be placed on file. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE N0. 3039.
An Ordinance Establishing Councilmanic Districts in the City of South Bend by dividing
said City into six such Councilmanic D- istricts, and fixing their Boundaries, and providingi
for the use of voting Machines in Elections for Nominating and electing officers of. said
Mify, and Repealing all Ordinances and Parts of Ordinances in conflict therewith.
The Ordinance was given its third reading by title, and wasvplaced updn its passage and
passed as amended by the following vote Whiteman, Rokop, Goetz, Jaworski, Altfeld, Hiss and
Grzeskowiak voting Aye, Hull, Oakley, Cripe and Gustin voting Nay. Ayes 7, Nays 4, Ordinance
adopted as amended.
'On Motion of Councilman Jaworski the Council adjourned at 8:40 oV clock P. M. Motion.
