JOSEPH COUNTY SS: OF THE COMMON COUNCIL. f `° CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: You are hereby notified that-under and by virtue of the authority by law vested in me as Mayor of the City of South Bend, of the State of Indiana, a Special Meeting of the Common Council of -said City is-hereby called at the hour of 5:00 o'clock P. M. on Tuesday, March 21st 1933, or as soon thereafter as convenient, For the Purpose of considering Resolutions making temporary loans from General Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana, to Park Board, Aviation Commission, Police Pension Fund.' INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMAN JNO. 0. HISS. - WHEREAS, because of delinquencies in the paymwnt of taxes and because of a moratorium on banks and the closure of banks in which funds of the Department of Public Parks are deposited, said Department is-in need of funds for the payment.-of current expenses in the sum not exceeding #1,094.90 and ' WHEREAS, There is money in the Generaml Fund of the City of South Bend which money is availabl and can be loaned unto them said Department of Public Parks with which said Department can mee its said current obligations, NOW, THEREFORE, - be it RESOLVED` that the Municipal City of South -Bend, Indiana, make a temporar loan out of its General Fund to the said Department of Public Parks in the sum of not exceedin #`1,094.90 for during and until and not later t74an May 15, 1933 within which time said Departm of Public parks shall repay the said sum so loaned unto the said City. On Motion of Councilman -Goetz the Resolution -was adopted. Motion carried. RESOLUTION. INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMAN EARL S. GUSTIN. WHEREAS, Because of delinquencies in the payment of taxes and because of a moratorium on banks the closure of banks in which funds of the Aviation Commission are deposited, laid Commission need of -funds for,the payment of current expenses in the sum not exceeding #2 :941.50; and WHEREAS, There is money in the General Fund of the City of South Bend which.money is available a-an be loaned unto the said Aviation Commission with which said Commission can meet its said current obligat ionupt NOW THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED that the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, make a temporary loan out of its General Fund to the said Aviation Commission in the sum not exceeding #21941.F for during and until and not later than May 15, 1933 within which timex said Commission shall repay said sum so loaned unto the said City. 2h On Motion of Councilman Hiss The Resolution was adopted. Motion carried. RESOLUTION. INTRODUCED BY- 00UNCILMAN GROVER D. WHITEMAN. WHEREAS, because of delinquencies iunthe payment of taxes and because of a moratorium on bank the closure of banks in which funds of "the Police Pensionfund are deposited, said Pension Funs in need of funds for the payment of current expenses in the sum of not exceeding #553054; and WHEREAS, There is money in the General Fund of the City of South Bend which is,available -And c loaned unto the said Police Pension Fund with -which said Pension Fund man meet its said currex obligations, NOW THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED that the Munici.pal.City of South Bend, Indiana, make a temporary out of its General Fund to the said Police Pension Fund in the sum not exceeding #853.54 d fol during and until and not later than May 15, 1933, within which time said Pension Fund shall r( the said sum so loaned unto the said City. On Motion of Councilman Whiteman the Resolution was adopted. Motion carried. On Motion of Councilman Oakley the Council adjourned at 5:25 o'clock P. M. Motion carried.
