REGULAR MEETING..
MINUTES.
Be it Memembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in
the Regular Session in-the Council ,Chambers in the City Hall, Monday evening Depember.12th,
1932 at the hour of 7 :50 o'clock P. M..All Members present except Councilman Whiteman.
President Nelson-presided. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and on Motion of
Councilman Hull were X accepted as read. Motion carried.

REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE.
To the Common Council of the City of South Bend:
Your Committee of the Whole "to whom was referred An Ordinance approving contract by and
between the City of South Bend, Indiana, through its Department of Public Safety and Scherman
Schaus— Freeman Compan$ for the Purchase of Equipment for the Fire Department in the amount of
One Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars ($1,950.00). - Respectfully report that they have
examined the matter, and that in their opinion the said Ordinance should be reported favorabl

between the.City of South Bend Indiana through its Department of Publia Safety and the
General Fire Truck Company of St. Louis, Missouri, for-the Purchase of Equi pent for the
Fire Department in the amount of Two Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Dollars 02,450.00).
Respectfully report that they have examined the matter,.and that in their opinion the said
Ordinance should be reported favorable. Jno. C. Hiss., Chairman.' The report was accepted
by the Council.

An Ordinance approving Contract by and between the City of South Bend, Indiana through
its Department of- Publio Safety and the General Fire Truck Company of St*" Louis,, Missouri,
for the Purchase of Equipment for the Fire Department in the amount of Two Thousand Four
Hundred Fifty Dollars ( $2k, 450.'00 ).'
The Ordinance was given its third reading by title, and was placed upon its - passage -and
passed by the following vote: Nelson, Rokop, Goetz, Hull, Jaworski,, Altfeld, Hiss, Oakley, -
Grzeskowiak, Cripe and Gustin, Ayes 11, Nays 0 Ordinance adopted:

Department of Public Works of the City of Erouth Bend, Indiana to other appropriations in the
same Department:1
The Ordinance was given its fifst reading by title, its second reading in full and on
Motion of Councilman Cripe the Rules were suspended by the following vote: Nelson, Rokop,
Goetz, Hull, Jaworski, Altfeld, Hiss, Oakley, Grzeskowiak ", Cripe and Gustin, Ayes 11, Nays 0
Rules suspended and Ordinance goes to third reading:
