MINUTES.
Be it- Remembered that the Common Council of the of .South Bend.,-Indiana, met�.,in the
Regular Session in the Council -Chambers in the City Hall, Monday evening November 28th, 1932,
at the.hour of 7240 o'clock P. M. All Members present.•President Nelson presided. The Minutes
of the previous meeting were read and on Motion of Councilman Hull were accepted as.read.

REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE.
To.the Common Council of the City of South Bend:
Your Committee. of the - whol'e- to. whom. was_ .referred_ An. Ordinance approving a Franchise,
Grant and Contract with Chicago- South. Shore. and South. Bend. Railroad._ Respectfully report that
they have examined the matter, and that in their opinion the said Ordinance should be
reported Favorable.` Jno C. Hiss, Chairman. The report was accepted by the Council.
ORDINANCE N0. Y,30080 `
An Ordinance approving a Franchise, Grant: and Contract with Chicago South Shore and
South Bend Railroad.
The Ordinance was given its ft third reading by title, and was placed upon its passage
and passed by the following vote: Nelson, Whiteman, Rokop, Goetz, Hull, Jaworski, Altfeld,
Hiss, Oakley, Grzeskowiak, Cripe and Gustin, Ayes 12, Naps 0. Ordinance adopted.'
ORDINANCE NO.
An Ordinance approving contract by and between the City of South Bend Indiana through
its Department of Public - Safety and The General Fire Truck Company of St.' Louis, Missouri,
for the Purchase`of 2. equipment for the Fire Departments in.the mmmil amount of Two Thousand
Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($2,450000)-
The Ordinance was given.its first.reading by title, its second reading in full and on
Motion of Councilman Altfeld was referred to the Committee of the whole.` Motion carried.'
ORDINANCE NO.
An Ordinance approving contract by and between the City of South.Bend. Indiana, through
its Department of Public Safety and Soherman:Schaus— Freeman Company for the.Purchase
of Equipment for the Fire Department in the amount of One. Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars
($lv950.00).
The Ordinance was given its first reading by title, its second reading in full and on
Motion of Councilman Xx Grzeskowiak was`referred to the Committee of the Whole. Motion carried.
RESOLUTION. INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMAN GEO.,.F. HULL.
BE IT RESOLVED BI THE COMMON COUNCIL of the City of South Bendy State of Indiana,.that
the City Controller of said City is hereby authorized and directed to pay on-the 20th day of
December, 1932, all monthly Salaries-of Officials and Emplofees of said City, becoming due
for the Month of..December, 1932.'
On Motion of Councilman Hull the Resolution was adopted. Motion carried:'
On Motion of"Councilman Rokop the Council adjoafted at 7 :50 o'clock P. M. Motion carried.
