Be it-Remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, State of, Indiana, met in the Reg7lar Session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall,. Monday evening February 8th, 1932, at the hour of 7:45 o'clock P. Me All Members present which were as follows: Councilmen,; NelsorA, Whiteman, Rokop, Goetz, Hull, - Jaworski; Altfeld, Hiss, Oakley, Grzeskowiak, Oripe as d Gustin, ityzsz Presidemt Nelson presided. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and on Motion of Councilman Hull, were referred to the Committee of the Inspection and Supervision of Minutes:` MotioWbcarried: COMMUNICATION. South Bend, Indiana :' Gentlemen: At a meeting of the East Side Business Menla Club, held Thursday evening, February, , a resolution was passed commending the Committee of the Whole for its action, at -.. the last 'regular meeting, in approving the sale of a $400,000 bond issue to provide funds for the Cityts share of the expenses in connection with the track elevation and subway on Western Avenue: __ We trust that the Common Council, at its regular meeting, Monday, February 8, will complet the last step in the project which has been ' under-way-for a- number of years , being_promoted by the Western-Avenue Improvement-.Association and various other Civic organizations: Respectfully., EAST SIRE BUSINESS MENIS GLUB By Je C'Hiss, President pro tem . An Ordinance Transferring $15,000000 from the Funds of the City Plan Commission of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Respectfully report that they have examined the matter, and that in their opinion the said Ordinance sh ou2d be repo ted� Favorable. Respectfully report that they have examined th matter, and that in their opinion the said Resolution should be reported Favorable.` John C.' Motion passed and Ordinance is rejected and stricken from the Docket: ORDINANCE NO. 2978.' RESOLUTION. As-was introduced on January_25th.. 1932, by.C.OUNCII&AN JOSEPH So JAWORSKI. WHEREAS, the Board of Park Commissioners of the City of South. Bend, Indiana, did., on ,the 15th day of January, 1932, adop* a resolution whereby,it authorized the transfer to,the general fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana, the amount of thirty thousand 330,000.00) dollars., out of funds accumulated by reamson of the tax levy for the Department of Public Parks included in the levy ofthe-civil city of South Bend., Indiana; and., WHEREAS, on account of the general depression the said Citynhas occassion for the use of said amount until the first installments - of,tax for-the current year are paid.- NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED'by the Common Council of the City of South Bend., Indiana,, that such transfer as above set forth be. accepted and be paid into the general fund-of said City for uses as authorized therefrom until August l.. 1932, and that the saw Department of Public Parks be paid interest #7ereon.as would accrue to said Department dfiring such time if same remainbdg in the public depository where it is now invested* OU.Motion of Councilman Cripe the Resolution was adoptedil Motion carried0: On Motion of Councilman Rokopnthe Council adjournedx at 8:25 o'clock P.'
