Be it Rememberv& that the Common Council met in the Regular Session in the Council.Chamber
in the City.Hall, Monday evening July 29th, 1930 , at the hour of 7 :45 o'clock P :'M All Membe
present except Councilman Nelson: President Fegan. presided:' The Minutes of the previous meeting
were read and on Motion 4 ,Councilman Hull vgere referred to the Committee on the Inspection
and Supervision of Minutes., Motion carried:
PETITION.
To the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
Wesc,_the undersigned, being all the owners of the following described property, do hereby
petition your Honorable Body to change the following described property, to -wit :. Lot Number Eig
(9) in the City of South ,Bend Addition to the City of South Bend= Indiana, located at the North
west corner of Garst and Michigan Streets, from "E Height and Area u'to. "C Height and Area"

To the Common I Council of the City of South Bend:
Wes the undersigned, being the owners of mgre than fifty per centum_ of the land fronting
on Lincoln Way West between Blaine and Sherman Streets, both on the North and South side of
Lincoln Way West, respectfully show to the Honorable Common Council of the City of South Bend
that said fron §age was zoned as "B" residence district and "A" Height and Area District., by
Ordinance Number 2334 zx of the_Ci.ty of South Bend, adopted June 25, 1923s and commonly -known
as the Zoning Ordinance and they respectfully petition and request said council to adopt an
ordinance changing the present zoning,regulatign of said property so that the same shall be
zoned n in "B" Height and Area District, also t #at the Use and Occupancy be changed from "B1°
residence to "C" Commercial Use & Occupancy 2 District.'
Wherefore, we. respectfully request that you cause public notice to be given and publiehearings
to be had upon this proposal and that thereafter you make the.change herein prayed for:

Please take notice that It Lazarus Altfeld, Councilman of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, in the Third Ward of said City, do hereby tender my resignation and
resign as a member of the Common Council of said City, which resignation is to be adx
effective at the close of the regular session of said Common Council on the 28th day of
