(O.Z9 q - -. r AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: (Chapter 21, Municipal Code). BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: Section 1. Ordinance No. 4990 -68, as amended, which ordinance is commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be and the same hereby is amended in order that the zoning classification of the following described real estate in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana: A parcel of land being all of Lots 13, 14, 15, 26, 27, and 28 and the 14 Foot vacated alley lying South of and adjacent to Lot 13 and together with all vacated alleys lying between said lots, all in the recorded plat of J. G. Bartlett's First Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana, and more particularly described as follows, viz: Beginning in the Northeast Corner of said Lot 15, said beginning point being the intersection of the West right -of -way line of Michigan Street (U.S. 31) and the South right -of -way line of Bartlett Street as currently exist; thence South along said right -of -way line of Michigan Street (U.S. 31) a distance of 194 Feet: thence West parallel with said South right -of -way line of Bartlett Street 165 Feet; thence North parallel with said West right -of -way line of Michigan Street (U.S. 31) 14 Feet; thence West parallel with said South riaht -of- way line of Bartlett Street 184.49 Feet; thence North parallel with said West right -of -way line of Michigan Street (U.S. 31) a distance of 180 Feet; thence East along said South right -of -way line of Bartlett Street 344.49 Feet, to the place of beginning, be and the same is hereby established as "C" Commercial District, "F" Height and Area District. The Area Plan Commission gave it a public hearing on July 18, 1978, at which time the following action was taken: "Upon a motion by Joseph Serge: being seconded by Earl Kime and carried unanimously, the petition of Memorial Hospital of South Bend, to zone from "C" Commercial, "E" and "C" Height and Areas, to "C" Commercial, "F" Height and Area, property located at 615 North Michigan Street, City of South Bend, is returned to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation, subject to approval of the ingress, egress and circulation system by the City Engineer, with particular regard to the items listed in the letter previously read into the record."
