AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $162,320.00 FROM LOCAL
ROAD AND STREET - SPECIAL DISTRIBUTION FUND FOR
EXTRAORDINARY AND DIRECT COSTS INCURRED AS THE
RESULT OF SNOW REMOVAL OPERATIONS DURING 1978, TO
BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In that the 1978 session of the Indiana General Assembly enacted Public
Law 58, Acts 1978, creating the Local Road and Street - Special Distribution Fund;
and
In that certain extraordinary expenses were incurred by the Bureau of
Streets of the Department of Public Works during the winter storms of 1978; and
In that additional funds are needed to assure the Department's ability to
properly perform its functions,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I: That the sum of $162,320.00 be appropriated from the 1978 Local
Road and Street - Special Distribution Fund. The appropriation is to be administered
by the Department of Public Works and will be distributed as forth below:

after its passage by the Common Council and its approval by the Mayor.
