Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the
Whole in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, May 8, 1967 at 8 :00 P.M., with all members present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Edwin Thomas Smith, who presided.
Chairman Smith introduced Reverend Charles Rowlett, Pilgrim Baptist Church, who gave the invocation.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
TO ACCOUNT K -72, "EQUIPMENT," IN THE AMOUNT
OF $500.00 AND THE TRANSFER IN THE SAME AMOUNT
FROM ACCOUNT K -26, "OTHER CONTRACTUAL SERVICES ",
IN THE MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM BUDGET ALL BEING
IN THE GENERAL FUND.
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents
were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Speaking in favor of the Ordinance was Mr. A. E. Tovey,
Manager of the Morris Civic Auditorium. Councilman Geib made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council
as favorable. Councilman Palmer seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being-ho further business to come_before:,lthe'Committee of the Whole, Councilman Geib made a motion
to rise and report to the Council. Councilman Wise seconded the motion. Motion carried. Time: 8:06
