NOVEMBER $, 1965 Bb it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, November 8, 1965, at 8 :00 P.M., with all mekbers present except Councilman Glass, who passed away on November 5, 1965. The meeting was called to order by Councilman Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman, who presided. Councilman Smith introduced Reverend Paul E. Chalfant of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, who gave the devotions. ORDINANCE ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (Location: 1010 and 1012 North Olive St) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the the above ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Szymkowiak made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Geib• seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 (Location: 138 acres, more or less, commonly known as Izaak Walton League) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Geib made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. ORDINANCE ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702(Location: 11.7 acres, more or less, east of Miami Rd., North of Jackson and abutting the city limits on east) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Hunter made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 (Location: East of Miami Rd., near Jackson Rd., abutting city limits on south side). This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 (Location: 167.79 acres, more or less, generally between Colfa$ Rd., and Toll Road, on Portage Road) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Palmer seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 (General Description: 1121 N. Hickory Road) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Speaking in favor of the ordinance was Robert Zimmerman, attorney, speaking in behalf of the petitioners Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Mielke. Also, speaking in favor of the ordinance were F. E. Parkhurst,1110 Whitehall, and Warren Dayton, 1116 Whitehall. Councilman Wise made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AND TRANSFERRING $5,000.00 INTO ACCOUNT XX -252 DESIGNATED AS SERVICES CONTRACTUAL, REPAIRS OF EQUIPMENT, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NUMBERED 4794 -65 AND 4795 -65. This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Hunter made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Geib seconded the motion. Motion carried.
