All members were present except Councilman Glass. The meeting was called to order by President John L. Hunter, Jr., who presided. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Councilmen Hunter, Allen, Palmer, Wise, Geib, Szymkowiak, Muszynski and Smith. ABSENT: Councilman Glass REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. Motion carried. xr;GU�x lnr:r;ri�v OCTOBER 11, 1965 PETITION Southeast corner of Bartlett St. and No. Michigan Street PETITION TO REZONE REAL ESTATE TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND: The undersigned is the owner of Lots Ten (10), Eleven (11) and Twelve. (12) in Rockstroh Bros. Addition to the City of South Bend, and each lot is presently zoned as follows: Lot 10 "C" Commercial and "C" Heighth and Area Lot 11 "C" Commercial and "C" Heighth--arid 'Area Lot 12 "C" Commerdial and "E" Heighth and Area The three lots are situated at the Southeast corner of Bartlett and North Michigan Streets, South Bend, Indiana, and comprise a. tract of land one hundred thirty -five (135) feet in width, North and South, fronting on Michigan Street, and one hundred sixty -five (165) feet.in length, East and West, on Bartlett Street. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance be set for Public Hearing on October 25, 1965. Councilman Palmer seconded the motion. Motion carried. RESOLUTIONS RESOLUTION N0. 114 -65 A RESOLUTION FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION IN THE REPAIRS OF EQUIPMENT ACCOUNT OF THE ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $150.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF THE SAME FROM THE TRAVEL EXEENSE ACCOUNT IN THE SAME CATEGORY, TO -WIT: SERVICES CONTRACTUAL, AND ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, 0 naps, 1 absent (Councilman,Glass) RESOLUTION N0, 115 -65 A RESOLUTION FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION IN THE OTHER GARAGE AND MOTOR SUPPLIES ACCOUNT OF THE ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $150.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF THE SAME FROM -THE GASOLINE ACCOUNT IN THE SANE CATEGORY, TO -WIT: SUPPLIES, AND ALL BEING IN THE GENERAL FUND. NEW BUSINESS Councilman Smith requested that the clerk write a letter to Mr, Ernest Ross f <the-City`P1an�ming�Comnission, thanking him'f6i "his assistance in presenting the City Planning Commission pictures. Councilman Smith directed a question to the city engineer concerning the time schedule of the proposed traffic lights at Miami and Ireland Rd. City Engineer, Lloyd Taylor informed the council that traffic signal lights c9uld not operate properly at this time, and would be impractical until channel stations are completed. OLD BUSINESS Councilman Szymkowiak directed a question to the Board of Public Works. and Sdfej:y concerning his district. Eugene Radecki informed the Council that he would Aot fy the Board. being no further business before the Council, Councilman Wise made a motion seconded the motion.
