Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Tuesday, October 13, 1964, at 8:00 P.M., with all members present.
The meeting was called to order by Councilman Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman, who presided.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702
(Nash St., Grant St., Prairie Ave. and Calvert St.)
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were
given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Glass made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council
as favorable. Councilman Hunter seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702
(Meade St., Bendix Dive, Prast Blvd. and Westmore St.)
This being the time heretofore set-for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were
given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Szymkowiak made a motion that this ordinance be referred
back to the City Planning Commission for amendment by excluding the following lots: 2 -6 inclusive and 9 -13
inclusive of Part of Westchester 1st Unit. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION TO THE EQUIPMENT
REPAIR ACCOUNT OF THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$3,549.00 WITH SAID SUM BEING TRANSFERRED FROM THE MOTOR EQUIPMENT
ACCOUNT OF THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT.
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were
given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council
as favorable. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Geib made a motion to adjourn.
Councilman Hunter seconded the motion. Motion carried and Committee of the Whole Meeting adjourned at 8:07 P.M.
