AUGUST 24, 1964
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, August 24, 1964, at 8 :05 P.M., with all members present
except Councilman Wise. The meeting was called to order by Councilman Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman, who
presided.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($2,500.00) TO THE CITY
CEMETERIES DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A.TRUCK;
SAID ($2,500.00) TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT N -12
INTO ACCOUNT N -722, ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND.
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given
an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Glass made a motion that this ordinance go to the Council as
favorable. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($500.00) TO THE OFFICE
OF THE -CITY CLERK FOR THE PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL
POSTAGE TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT C -362 INTO
ACCOUNT C -212, ALL IN.THE GENERAL FUND.
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given
an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that this ordinance go to the.Council as
favorable. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($1500.00) TO THE ELECTRICAL
DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE-OF A TRUCK; SAID ($1500.00)
TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT V -37 INTO ACCOUNT V -722,.
ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND.
This being the time heretofore set"for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given
an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Geib made a motion that this ordinance go to the Council as
favorable. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to adjourn.
Councilman Hunter seconded the motion. Motion carried and Committee of the Whole Meeting adjourned at 8 :25
P.M.
