COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING -JUNE 22, 1464
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, June 22, 1964, at 8 :03 P.M., with all members present except
Councilman Palmer. The meeting was called to order by Councilman Edwin T. Smith, Chairman, who presided.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS
THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS
AMENDED.
(Amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 3702, As Amended)
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were
given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council
as favorable. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. -
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS
THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS
AMISNDED.
(Section 3 -B, "A -2" Planned Residential Development District)
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were
given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Glass made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council
as favorable. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS AMENDED.
(Amending Section 18, sub - section a of Ordinance No. 3702)
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were
given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Allen made a motion that the ordinance be returned to
the Ordinance Committee for further study. Councilman Hunter seconded the motion. Motion carried,

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 4581 -63 BEING AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702.
(Franklin, Kendall, Calvert Sts. & Ewing Ave.)
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were
given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Glass made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council
as favorable. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE.AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702
(St. Vincent, Eddy, Corby and St. Louis Blvd.)
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were
given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Proponents speaking in favor of the zoning were Mrs. Arthur Quigley,
1019 N. Frances St.; Mrs. Robert Schmidt, 1029 N. Notre Dame.Ave. and Mrs. Frank Rafinski, 1026 N. St. Peter St.
Councilman Hunter made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Muszynski seconded
the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Geib made a motion to adjourn.
Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried and Committe of the Whole Meeting adjourned at
8 :35 P.M.
