Be it remembered that the Committee of the Whole met in the Council Chambers in the City of South Bend, Indiana,
on Monday, May 25, 1964, at 8:00 P.M., with all members present. The meeting was called to 6rder by Mr. Edwin
T. Smith, Chairman, who presided.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE
NO. 3702, AS AMENDED
(4 Acres bounded by Hamilton, Fremont, Meade Sts. and
Marquette Blvd.)
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given
an opportunity to be heard thereon. Speaking in opposition to the proposed Ordinance were the following: Mr.
and Mrs. Roman Guentert, 1606 N. Fremont St., Mr. William Brihley, 2119 Portage Ave., and Mr. Jerome Lukas, 2019
Bergan St. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman
Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried.
3- MINUTE RECESS - 8:45 P.M.
Councilman Glass made a motion for a three minute recess. Councilman Hunter seconded the motion. Motion carried.
RECONVENED - MEETING - 8:50 P.M.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS-OF
SOUTR BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS.
(30 Acre tract at Miami and Jackson Roads)
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given
an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Glass made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council as
favorable. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS.
(54 Acre tract at Miami and Ireland Roads)
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given
an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Geib made a motion that the Ordinance be referred to the Ordinance
Committee for further study. Councilman Wise seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Glass made a motion to adjourn.
Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried and Committee of the Whole Meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M,
