Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, met in the Committee of the Whole in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, May 11, 1964, at 8 :00 P.M., with all members present except
Councilman Glass. The meeting was called to order by Councilman Edwin T. Smith, Chairman, who presided.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($50,000.00) TO THE STREET DEPARTMENT
IN THE PURCHASE OF STREET AND ALLEY MATERIALS; SAID ($50,000.00)
TO BE A TRANSFER FROM FUND S -12 INTO FUND S -421.
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were
given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council
as favorable. Councilman Hunter seconded the motion. Motion carried.

AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS
IN MUNICIPAL BONDS OF 1961 - $19,465.28
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were
given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Palmer made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council
as favorable. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried.

IN THE SANITATION FUND - $1,077.55
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were
given an opportunity to be heard'thereon. Councilman Hunter made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council
as favorable. Councilman Geib seconded the motion. Motion carried.

AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE 1960
GENERAL STREET IMPROVEMENT FUND -- $1,523.63
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were
given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Hunter made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council
as favorable. Councilman Palmer seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN SEWAGE
DISPOSAL FUND -- $58,993.21
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were
given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance go to the Council
as favorable. Councilman Hunter seconded the motion'. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Hunter made a motion to adjourn.
Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Committee of the Whole Meeting adjourned at
8 :08 P.M.
