HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-24-63 Council Meeting MinutesJUNE 24, 1963 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in Regular Session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, June 24, 1963, at 8:18 P.M., with all members present except Councilmen Tellson, Glass, Lehman and Muszynski. The meeting was called to order by President Joseph T. Kroll, who presided. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Councilmen Kroll, Allen, Ladewski, Coleman and Krueper. ABSENT: Councilmen Tellson, Glass, Lehman and Muszynski. REPORT OF ORDINANCE COMMITTEE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee on Ordinances to whom was referred the galley proofs of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, 'Respectfully report that they have examined the said galley proofs and have been made aware of all deletions and corrections contained in said proofs and hereby approve same. /s/ J. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the report of the Ordinance Committee be accepted and by the Council and they approve the Ordinances as they will be printed. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman Allen seconded the moti�. Motion carried. REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Benda Your Committee of the Whole,, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS j:N THE BUILDING DEPART- MENT - $265.00, AS AMENDED, Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion IT SHOULD BE REPORTED FAVORABLE, AS AMENDED. ORDINANCE, THIRD READING AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT - $265.00, AS AMENDED. 0 Councilman Coleman made a motion that final action on this Ordinance be held over until the July 8th meeting of the Council. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. 570 REGULAR MEETING JUNE 24, 1963 NEW BUSINESS Councilman Krueper made a motion that the Committee of the Whole Meeting for public hearing on the proposed budget for. 1964, be held at the Morris Civic Auditorium on a date recommended by the Controller at the next meeting of the Council. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman Ladewski requested that the Clerk of the Board of Public Works and Safety be directed to obtain informatioi on all costs and expenses that would be incurred in air - conditioning the Council Chambers. There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Coleman made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Krueper seconded the motion. Motion carried and the regular meeting of the Common Council adjourned at 8 :50 P.M.
