HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-22-62 Council Committee of the Whole Meeting MinutesThe Committee of the Whole Meeting was called to order by President Joseph T. Kroll. In the absence of Councilman T. W. Lehman, Chairman of the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Ladewski was appointed to conduct the ineeting..of_ the Committee of the Whole. The meeting was called to order at 8:05 P.M. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4381 - - -61 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE BUILDING CODE FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance remain in the Committee of the Whole until November 26, 1962. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM FUND - $300.00 This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorab Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION FUND - $300.00 This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS (8.7 acres of land at Hickory and Bulla) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were .given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Jerome Campbell, 54833 Hickory Road, was heard. Councilman Krueper made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, AS AMENDED (616, 618 and 630 East Colfax) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Krueper made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 (1039, 1043 and 1047 Lincolnway West and 624 North Allen) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Glass made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as-favorable. Councilman Coleman seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (Holland Street between Kaley and Meade) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were-:given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Stanley Kaminski, 2415 Prast Boulevard, was heard. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Krueper seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (East side of Olive Street between 716 and 746 S. Olive) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (Block bounded by Holland, Meade, Colfax and Kaley) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO.-3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (Land on Edison approximately 600 feet West of Hickory) This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Glass seconded the motion.
