OCTOBER -•8. 1962
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiaia, met in the Committee of the Whole in
the Council Chambers on Monday, October 8, 1962, at 8:10 P.M., with all members present. The meeting was called to
order by Chairman T. W. Lehman, who presided.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4381 - - -61 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE BUILDING CODE FOR THE
CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
This Ordinance having been in the Committee of the Whole for consideration is now, upon motion by Councilman Kroll
and seconded by Councilman Coleman, and unanimously carried, brought out of the Committee of the Whole and set for
public hearing on October 22, 1962.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, (Linden Street
be}ween O'Brien and Brookfield)
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an
opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Ladewski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable
Councilman Coleman seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING ONE MILLION ($1,000,000.00)
DOLLARS FOR STREET, BRIDGE AND SEWER CONSTRUCTION
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an
opportunity to be heard thereon. Those speaking were Mrs. Frederick Mutzl, 320 Parkovash; J. Merlin Guthrie, 315
North Scott Street; Ray Andrysiak, City Engineer.
Councilman Glass made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Kroll seconded the
motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS_ IN THE FAIR EMPPOYMENT PRACTICES COMMISSION
FUND - $30.63
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given
an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable,
Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE OFFICE OF THE CONTROLLER AND THE
SOUTH BEND POLICE DEPARTMENT FUND - $1,200.00
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an
opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable.
Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Kroll made a motion that the
Committee of the Whole Meeting adjourn. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Committee of
the Whole Meeting adjourned at 8 :20 P.M.
