Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in
the Council Chambers, on Monday, March 26, 1962, at 8:02 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Lehman,
Chairman. President Kroll called the meeting to order and appointed Councilman Eugene Ladewski as Acting Chairman
of the Committee of the Whole.
ORDINANCE -
AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE STREET AND TRAFFIC
FUND, $15,000.00 AND IN THE.FAIR EMPLOYMENT PRACTICE COMMISSION, $155,42
Councilman Kroll made a motion to amend the Title by deletion of "In the Street and Traffic Fund, $15,000.00 "; and
by deletion of "Street and Traffic Fund Account No. S -422 - Salt, $15,000.00" which appears in Section II; and by
deletion of "Street and Traffic Fund, Account No. S -421, Street and Alley Material, $15,000.0011, which appears in
Section III. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard on the Ordinances, as amended. Councilman Coleman
made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion
carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS
HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (Land on Ironwood north of Edison).
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents, and opponents were given an
opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable.
Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE TO LICENSE POOL ROOMS, POOL HALLS, BILLIARD ROOMS AND
BILLIARD HALLS
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an
opportunity to be heard thereon.
A communication from the Ohio - Keasey Street Improvement Association, presented by Mrs. Charles G. Stokes, in support
of the proposed Ordinance, was read. Councilman Kroll made a motion, seconded by Councilman_ Glass, to accept the
communication and place it on file. Motion carried.
Councilman Krueper made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Glass seconded the
motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Kroll made a motion to adjourn.
Councilman Krueper seconded the motion, Motion carried, and the Committee of the Whole meeting adjourned at 8:11 P.M
