Chambers on Monday, March 19, 1962, at 8 :13 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Lehman. The meeting was
called to order by President Joseph T. Kroll, who presided.
The Clerk read the Call for Special Meeting, which reads as follows:

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY SS: CALL FOR SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF SOUTH BEND
To the President and Members of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
Gentlemen:
You are hereby notified that under and by virtue of the authority vested in me by law as Mayor of the City of South
Bend, in the State of Indiana, a Special Meeting of the Common Council of said City is hereby called to meet in the
Council Chambers, in the City Hall at the hour of 8:00 P.M., on Monday, March 19, 1962, for the purpose of consider-
ing the following Ordinances:
1. AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN 1960 GENERAL STREET IMPROVEMENT FUND, $203,126.38
2. AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN MUNICIPAL BONDS OF 1961 - $1,098,406.56
The Chief of Police or any member of the Police Force is hereby directed to forthwith serve a copy of this notice on
each and every member of.the Common Council and make due return of such service of said Call for Speical Meeting.

The within call came to hand this 16 day of March, 1962, which I served by reading the same to each Councilman
upon the date designated, as follows:

or by leaving a copy thereof at the last and usual place of residence of such members as I was unable to find, as

Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Call for Special Meeting be accepted and placed on file._ Councilman
Ladewski seconded the motion. Motion carried.

ORDINANCE
PRESENT: Councilmen Kroll, Allen, Ladewski, Tellson, Coleman, Glass, Krueper and Muszynski.
ABSENT: Councilman Lehman.
AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN 1960 GENERAL STREET IMPROVEMENT FUND, $203,126.38
The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the
Ordinance be set for public hearing on Apri1:3, 1962. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN MUNICIPAL BONDS OF 1961 - $1,098,406.56
The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Allen.made a motion that the
Ordinance be set for public hearing on April 3, 1962. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Council Convene at a Special Meeting on Tuesday, April 3, 1962,_ at 7:00 P
for public hearing on the above Ordinances. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Special Meeting of the Common Council, Councilman Muszynski made
a motion to adjourn. Councilman Ladewski seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Special Meeting of the Common
Council adjourned at 8 :26 P.M.
