COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING
REGULAR MEETING
MARCH 12, 1962
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in
the Council Chambers on Monday, March 12, 1962, at 8:05 P.M., with all members present. The meeting was called to
order by Councilman T. W. Lehman, Chairman, who presided.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONTROL OF LAND SUBDIVISION AND THE APPROVAL
OF PLAT AND REPLAT OF LAND WITHIN THE TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE SOUTH
BEND CITY PLANNING COMMISSION: PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION AND REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an
opportunity to be heard thereon. Ray.Andrysiak, City Engineer made some suggestions as did Richard Albright,
728 Marquette Avenue.
Councilman Glass made a motion that the Ordinance be referred to the Ordinance Committee for further study. Council
Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 3913 (AS AMENDED) (Electrical Inspection)
The publich hearing on this Ordinance was continued from the February 26, 1962, meeting of the Council. Councilman
Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance be continued in the Committee of the Whole. Coumcilman Krueper seconded the
motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS (2 acres of land on Edison east of Ironwood)
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an
opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Allen made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable.
Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE
AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (The block bounded by Wayne, Scott, Taylor and Western
except the northwest corner)
This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an
opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable.
Councilman Coleman seconded the motion. Motion carried. -
There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to
adjourn. Councilman Krueper seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Committee of the Whole meeting adjourned at
8:18 P.M.
