HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-12-60 Council Committee of the Whole Meeting MinutesCOMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING SEPTEMBER 12, 1960 247 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, on Monday, September 12, 1960, at 8:06 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Allen. The meeting was called to order by Councilman T. W. Lehman, Chairman, who presided. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, ADOPTED BY THE C01016N COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND ON THE 14th DAY OF JUNE, 1949, COMMONLY AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (_2-15 �� 0-L-19 This being the time set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard on this Ordinance. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Hearing be set over until the next Regular meeting of the Council. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND CONTROL THE SALE AND USE OF PLASTIC COVERINGS OR BAGS This being the time set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance Committee study this Ordinance and report it out at the next regular meeting of the Council. Councilman Krueper seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 (1323 North Ironwood) This being the time set for public hearing on this Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Councilman Krueper made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as unfavorable. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. (Those heard were Joseph T. Helling and Raymond Smith) ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (3605 East McKinley -- -Elks) This being the time set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the public hearing be set over until the next regular meeting of the Council. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion carried. (Those heard were Richard Bonewitz, C.D. Elliott, Marion Dutrieux, proponents; and Robert Stephan, Mr. & Mrs. R. Stewart, Geo. Patton Mrs. Huffman, opponents) C ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS (Ireland Road and Pennsylvania Railroad Tracks) This being the time set for Public Hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. (Proponent- -R. S.Andrys iak- -opponents T. Laughlin and A.F.Reaso� There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Coleman seconded the motion.
