158 <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 9, 1959 <br />COMMITTEE OF.THE WHOLE MEETING <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in <br />the Council Chambers, City Hall, on Monday, November 9, 1959, at 8 :14 P.M., with all members present. The meeting <br />was called to order by Joseph T. Kroll, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS AMENDED, <br />WHICH ORDINANCE IS COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />(Lots 7 -13 Morris Park Addn.-- Meredith Petition) <br />Public hearing was had on this Ordinance. Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. <br />Edward Meredith, 1609 Portage Avenue spoke in favor of the rezoning. Speaking against the rezoning were the <br />following: ,Tames D. Reed, 1647 Portage Avenue; Rafael. "A. Pollock, 1702 Anderson; Grover C. McLaughlin, 1610 Medora; <br />Mrs. Samuel Klute, 1628 Portage Avenue. <br />Councilman Christman made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as unfavorable. Councilman Erler seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Korpal made a motion to <br />adjourn.
