COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING
REGULAR MEETING
AUGUST 10, 1959
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole,
on Monday, August 10, 1959, at 8 :15 P.M., in the City Hall, with all members present except Councilman Hahn.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Joseph T. Kroll, who presided.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWW'EN TIE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA, AND INDIANA & MICHIGAN ELECTRIC COMPANY
Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard at the Public Hearing on this Ordinance. Speaking
for the Ordinance was Mr. Raymond Andrysiak, City Engineer, who explained the proposed location of the lights.
Also heard were Miss Virginia Guthrie, Mrs. Arlene Navarre and Mr. Fred DeFerbrache.
Councilman Korpal made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Glass seconded the
motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS "THE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA ".
(Fences, walls and hedges)
Public Hearing was had on this Ordinance. Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard on this
Ordinance.
Councilman Korpal made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Christman seconded
the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Muszynski made a motion that
the Committee of the Whole adjourn. Councilman Erhardt seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Committee of
the Whole meeting adjourned at 8 :53 P.M.
