Chambers, City Hall, on Monday, August 3, 1959, at 8 :14 P.M., with all members present. The Clerk read the following
Call for a Special Meeting: Councilman Korpal, President presided.
CALL FOR A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
We, the undersigned members of the Common Council, hereby call a Special Meeting of the Common Council of the City
of South Bend, Indiana, to convene at the Council Chambers at the City Hall at 8 :00 P.M., on the 3rd day of August,
1959, for the purpose of considering the following:
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF ALL BUDGET -
OPERATED DEPARTMENTS OF THE CIVIL CITY OF 'SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
JANUARY 1, 1960, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1960, INCLUDING DEPARTMENTS, FUNDS AND COMMISSIONS
FOR WHICH MONEY IS APPROPRIATED, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, FROM FUNDS OTHER THAN THE GENERAL FUNDS, OF SAID
CITY, TO -wit: STREET, TRAFFIC AND PARK DEPARTMENTS, FIREMEN'S PENSION AND POLICEMEN'S PENSION FUNDS,
AND THE CITY PLAN AND URBAN REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSIONS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH APPROPRIATIONS SHALL INCLUDE
ALL OUTSTANDING CLAIMS AND OBLIGATIONS; FIXING THE SALARIES OF ALL CITY OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES, REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL
TAKE EFFECT.
ALSO
AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TAX LEVY FOR THE YEAR 1960 FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
The Chief of Police or any member, of the Police Force is hereby directed to forthwith serve a copy of this notice on
each and every member of the Common Council and make due return of such service of said Special Meeting.

the designated date, or by leaving a certified copy thereof at the last and usual place of residence of such members
as I was unable to find, as follows:

Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Call for a Special Meeting be accepted and placed on file. Councilman
Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried.

The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that
the Ordinance be set for Public Hearing on August 31,1959. Councilmam Hahn seconded the motion. Motion carried.

AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TAX LEVY FOR THE YEAR 1960 FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the
Ordinance be set for Public Hearing on August 31, 1959. Councilman Erhardt seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Kroll made a motion to adjourn. Councilman
Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Special Meeting of the Common Council adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
