COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING:
JANUARY 12, 1959
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole, on
Monday, January 12, 1959, with all members present. The meeting was called to order at 8 :10 P.M., by Councilman
Kroll, Chairman, who .presided.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCES NO. 2243 AND NO. 3208, COMMONLY KNO14N
AS THE BUILDING CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard on this ordinance. Mr. Verner L. Lane, Building
Commissioner explained the proposed Ordinance. Mr. Andrew Place, 2801 Privet Lane, representing the Builders of
South Bend, stated that they were all in favor of the proposed change. Councilman Christman made a motion that the
Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 2135 (Bus)
Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard on this Ordinance. Councilman Hahn made a motion that
the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Korpal made a motion to adjourn.
Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Committee of the Whole Meeting adjourned at
8:14 P.M.
