COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING:
MAY 26, 1958
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee. of:.the�Whole;..Couucil
Chambers, Monday, May 26, 1958, at 8:14 P.M., with all members present except Councilmen Hahn and Muszynski. The (I
meeting was called to order by Councilman Carr, Chairman, who presided.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
(1017 East Dubail Avenue)
Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to bb heard on this matter. F. Gerard Feeney, Attorney for the
purchasers of said property was heard. There being no remonstrators, Councilman Kroll made a motion that the
Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Erler seconded the motion. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FROM STREET AND TRAFFIC FUND $28,000.00 TO
STREET DEPARTMENT PROPETIES ACCOUNT NO. S -724 MOTOR EQUIPMENT $28,000.00
Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard on this ordinance. Councilman Christman asked Mr.
Richardson, Street Commissioner, if this appropriation were necessary, and if it would improve street sweeping.
Mr. Richardson explained the equipment they now have and stated that they will.attempt to sweep the streets all over
the city once a month.
Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Korpal seconded the
motion. Motion carried.
There.being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Korpal made a motion to adjourn. Councij
man kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Committee of the Whole meeting adjourned at 8 :26 P.M.
