This is a two-part renovation of historic downtown buildings led by Christina
Miller. Dainty maid is an culinary incubator, food hall and event space that
finished its renovation in 2023. Next door, the Center City Place is currently
being renovated with support from the City of South Bend.
520 S Michigan St - Milkweed Commons
This three-part project includes the full renovation of two historic buildings,
the Hope and the Monarch, and the establishment of a park in the vacant lot in
between. Charity Stowe and Rachel Mospan, co-owners of Herstoric
Development, focus on small-scale, community-rooted projects that add
value to their neighborhoods.

Local restaurateur Leo Duran has been incrementally remodeling his
owner-occupied restaurant, expanding the business overtime and generating
consistent growth through Covid and football off-seasons.
321 S Main St - South Bend Brew Werks
Formerly the The South Bend Tribune’s printing press building, SBCC
purchased the vacant building in 2023 to become their church’s
permanent building. The church is building towards a rent-free, debt-free
future for their congregation, as the greater revitalization of downtown
South Bend.

This project transforms a former Salvation Army building into a dynamic
co-working center where local entrepreneurs small businesses, and
creatives could connect, collaborate, and flourish. The Momentum
Entrepreneurship Hub is dedicated to nurturing and expanding the
region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
