Executive Session of the South Bend Common Council
2013
The May 29, 2013 Executive Session of the South Bend Common Council was called to order by
Council President Derek D. Dieter at 5:01 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting Room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members Tim Scott, Henry Davis, Jr., Dr. Fred Ferlic,
Valerie Schey, Oliver J. Davis, Derek D. Dieter, Gavin Ferlic, and Dr. Dave Varner; Corporation
Counsel Cristal Briscoe, Assistant City Attorney Andrea Beachkofsky, and Council Attorney
Kathleen Cekanski - Farrand
The Executive Session was called pursuant to the May 23, 2013 "Notice of Executive Session"
(copy attached) for the purpose of "...the discussion of strategy with respect to pending litigation
or litigation which has been threatened in writing" pursuant to Indiana Code § 5-14-1.5 -
6.1(b)(2)(B)
This is to certify that the only subject matter discussed at this Executive Session was that
contained in the May 23, 2013 Notice of Executive Session.

5:00 p.m. on Wednesdav May 29. 2013, in the Council's Informal
Meeting Room, 4 In Floor, County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana.
The Executive Session is being called pursuant to Indiana Code §5-14-1.5 -
6.1(b)(2)(B) for the discussion of strategy with respect to pending litigation or
litigation which has been threatened in writing.
