Community Connections Third (3rd) District Councilmember Sharon McBride invites the community to attend the H.O.P.E. Community Connections event during the Midwest Invitational Rodeo on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m., at the St. Joseph County 4-H Fairgrounds. This community initiative is being presented in recognition of Minority Mental Health Awareness Month and a shared commitment to increasing awareness of mental health, reducing stigma, and connecting individuals and families with the outstanding behavioral health resources available in the community. From 3:00 until 5:00 p.m., attendees will experience The H.O.P.E. Musical Tribute Experience, presented by Cultivating Life. This immersive community event blends contemporary inspirational music, personal testimony, faith, and behavioral health education into a unique experience designed to promote hope, encourage meaningful conversations about mental health, reduce stigma, and inspire healing. Although this event recognizes Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, all organizations that provide mental health, behavioral health, substance use treatment, recovery services, crisis intervention, youth and family services, peer support, or other community-based resources were invited. Following the tribute experience, there will be a fashion show at 5:00 p.m., line dancing at 6:00 p.m., and the rodeo starting at 7:00 p.m. For tickets to the Midwest Invitational Rodeo, visit this link or call 574-514-0053. ###
