REGULAR MEETING
June 5, 2013 14005 County -City Building

The June 5, 2013 Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment Authority was called to order at
10:35 a.m. by its Vice- President, Carolyn Pfotenhauer. There was a quorum present.
1. ROLL CALL
Members Present: Ms. Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer, Vice President
Mr. Jose Alvarez, Secretary
Member Absent: Mr. Ray Thomas, President
Redevelopment Staff: Mr. David Relos, Acting Director Redevelopment
Mr. John March, Fiscal Officer
Mr. Lawrence Meteiver, Legal Counsel
Mrs. Jenny Hullinger, Recording Secretary
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
a. Approval of the minutes of March 20, 2013
Upon a motion by Jose Alvarez, seconded by Carolyn Pfotenhauer, the Authority
approved the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 20, 2011.
3. NEW BUSINESS
a. Certification of the South Bend Redevelopment Authority concerning Insurance
and Tax Liability— Century Center Project
Mr. John March said Penny Price, from Administration & Finance, covers the
insurance for properties owned by the city. She emailed him the value of
insurance for each property, so all the properties are covered.
Upon a motion by Mr. Alvarez, seconded by Ms. Pfotenhauer, the Authority
approved the Certification concerning Insurance and Tax Liability — Century
Center Project.
b. Certification of the South Bend Redevelopment Authority concerning Insurance
and Tax Liability — College Football Hall of Fame.
Upon a motion by Mr. Alvarez, seconded by Ms. Pfotenhauer, the Authority
approved the Certification concerning Insurance and Tax Liability — College

C. Certification of the South Bend Redevelopment Authority concerning Insurance
and Tax Liability— Eddy Street Commons Project.
Mr. March said Debrah Jennings checked on the taxes for Eddy Street Commons
and those are current.
Upon a motion by Mr. Alvarez, seconded by Ms. Pfotenhauer, the Authority
approved the Certification concerning Insurance and Tax Liability — Eddy Street
Commons Project.
d. Certification of the South Bend Redevelopment Authority concerning Insurance
and Tax Liability — Police and Fire.
Upon a motion by Mr. Alvarez, seconded by Ms. Pfotenhauer, the Authority
approved the Certification concerning Insurance and Tax Liability — Police and
Fire.
e. Authority approval of Resolution No. 185 regarding the disposition of certain
personal property and matters related thereto.
Mr. David Relos stated we had two different auction houses look at the property
that was left behind when the College Football Hall of Fame left. Both auction
houses did not think there was enough property left to hold an auction. This
resolution will authorize the disposition of the property left behind to the Center
for History or the Northern Indiana Historical Society and other not - for - profits
who may have a use for some of the items.
Mr. Alvarez asked if any response from our letter to them had come back from the
Hall of Fame about the property and Mr. Relos said there was no response. Mr.
Meteiver said the Authority has the right to donate to a museum or scientific
facility to aid in the running of their facility.
Upon a motion by Ms. Pfotenhauer, seconded by Mr. Alvarez, the Authority
approved Resolution No. 185 regarding the disposition of certain personal
property and matters related thereto.
