APRIL 8, 1982
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in the Council
Chambers of the County -City Building on Thursday, April 8, 1982, at 4:30 p.m. The
meeting was called to order and the Pledge to the Flag was given.
ROLL CALL Present: Council Members Serge, Szymkowiak, Beck,
Taylor, Zielinski, Crone, Dombrowski,
Voorde and McGann
Absent: None
TO: MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH BEND COMMON COUNCIL
SUBJECT: CALL FOR A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
The Council Members signing below are calling a special meeting of the South Bend
Common Council to be held on Thursday, April 8, 1982, at 4:30 p.m., in the Council
Chambers on the fourth floor of the County -City Building. The purpose of this special
meeting is to vote on the following ordinance:
ORDINANCE NO. 7042 -82
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AMENDING
VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 7, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, COMMONLY KNOWN AS BUDGETARY PROCEDURES.

I received the attached Call for a Special Council Meeting April 5, 1982. I served
this Call by reading it to each Councilman on that date,

Member of the South Bend Police Department
Council Member Crone made a motion to override the Mayor's veto, seconded by Council
Member Voorde. The motion carried on a roll call vote of six ayes and three nays
(Council Members Serge, Beck and Taylor.)
There being no further business to come before the Council, Council Member Dombrowski
made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The motion carried and
the meeting was adjourned at 4:34 p.m.
