COUNTY-CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 October 17, 1979 Members of the Council South Bend Common Council 4th Floor County -City Building Dear Council Members: 2191284 -9483 There will be presented at first reading of the October 22, 1979 Council Meeting, the proposed 1980 Utility and Bureau of Parking budgets. The budgets as proposed for 1980 reflect less than a 10% increase in proposed expenditures. All budgets reflect salaries as established by the 1980 salary ordinance. You will note that the Bureau of Solid Waste budget reflects an increase of 24 %. This is a reflection of cut -backs in the CETA program which had previously provided about one -third of our manpower needs. We would be glad to caucus with the Council if you so desire. Very truly yours, e- Michael L.
