AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 5988 -76
COMMONLY KNOWN AS CHAPTER 16, ARTICLE 2,
SECTION 16 -6 "GARBAGE AND TRASH COLLECTION:
CITY FEES, MANNER OF COLLECTION: PRIVATE
PARTY RESPONSIBILITY" OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
The purpose of this Ordinance is to raise the garbage and
trash collection fees charged by the City for the collection and
disposal of garbage and trash from one - family dwellings.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That Chapter 16, Article 2, Section 16 -6, Sub-
section C, (1) & (2) are hereby amended to read as follows:
1. One family dwelling with no limit on number of
bags and bundles: Thpee de -lTa -pe &Rd F4:f -ty
eents 4$3 -'�84 pep month-. Four dollars and
Fifty cents ($4.50) per month.
2. One family dwelling where the head of the
household has submitted to the Board of Public
Works proof of age sixty -five (65) or over:
Tate dellaps 42 -8S4 pep Faenth- Two dollars
and Fifty cents ($2.50) per month.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the
Mayor, and fulfillment of all statutory requirements.
