GAMMON Approved and signed by me �crs..ls.e..� e . �9 Clerk ORDINANCE NO. & V) q ! ) S AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $4,500.00 FROM THE JUNK VEHICLE FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR SECURITY FENCING FOR TOWED VEHICLES TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINIS- TRATION AND FINANCE. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Funds are needed to erect a security fence around the towed vehicle storage area at the Olive Street Pumping Station. At present, there is inadequate security for stored vehicles and vandalism is a problem. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The sum of $4,500.00 is hereby appropriated for the year 1978, from the Junk Vehicle Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana. This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Administration and Finance and will be distributed as set forth below: ACCOUNT DESCRIPTION AMOUNT 260.0 Other Contractuals $4,500.00 Total $4,500.00 SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and fulfillment of all statutory requirements for emergency appropriations. The remoteness of this property has made the vehicles stored there attractive and relatively easy prey for vandalism. Funds are available in the Junk Vehicle Fund to erect a security fence which will reduce this area's attractiveness to vandals. We ask for your favorable consideration of this Ordinance and feel free to call my office if you have any questions.
