AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $1,500.00
FROM ACCOUNT NO. 110.0, SALARIES AND WAGES,
REGULAR, TO ACCOUNT NO. 726.0, OTHER EQUIPMENT,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,500.00. ALL ACCOUNTS BEING
WITHIN THE BUREAU OF COMMUNICATIONS BUDGET OF THE
GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In that certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the
adoption of the existing budget for the Bureau of Communications in the
General Fund, so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than
was appropriated in the original budget for the various functions of City
Government to meet such extraordinary conditions; and
In that additional funds are needed for an account within the Bureau
of Communications in the General Fund to assure that Department's ability
to properly perform its function; and
In that a surplus exists in another account of the Bureau of Communications
Budget in the General Fund which is not presently needed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I: That the sum of $1,500.00 be transferred between various
accounts as set forth below:

RE: Communication's Budget Transfer
Dear Councilmen:
219/284 -9251
Attached you will find an ordinance requesting a transfer of $1,500 from
Line 110, Salaries and Wages, Regular, to Line 726, Other Equipment.
Due to personnel changes within this Bureau during 1978, a surplus of
$1,500 presently exists within Line 110. It is proposed that this $1,500
be transferred to Line 726, Other Equipment, in order to address the pur-
chase of a Dual -trace 30 MHz Oscilloscope. The present scope used by the
Bureau is old and in poor condition, not making it dependable. The old
scope was sent in for repair in 1978 and returned by the manufacturer with
advice that additional funds would be ill spent if directed toward repair
of this instrument.
