Sanitary sewers were installed on Abshire and Berkshire Streets in Crest
Manor, Section 2. This installation is part of the overall plan to provide
or offer to provide sewers to the residents of South Bend at approximately
50% of the cost.
This project is complete and many residents have already availed themselves
Of the new service.
We are now requesting the 50% City share of this project in the amount of
$1,687.89. We would also like to point out that the Engineering and Barrett
Law work for this project was done by the Department of Public Works and thus,
the residents and the City were saved an estimated 20% of the construction
cost.
Your favorable consideration will be appreciated.
Very ul _yours,
