GAMMON Approved and signed by me_ V Iu g` a �919— Clerk ORDINANCE NO. , Lira -� AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $55,000.00 FROM ACCOUNT 110 "SALARY AND WAGES" TO ACCOUNT 722 "MOTOR EQUIPMENT" WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF SANITATION BUDGET OF THE SEWAGE WORKS OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Additional funds are required over those previously appropriated for a certain account within the Department of Sanitation. A surplus exists in another account where it is not presently needed. This surplus is shown specifically as follows: $55,000.00 in Account 110 "Salary and Wages" NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I. That account 110 "Salary and Wages" be reduced by $55,000.00, and this amount be appropriated and transferred as follows: ACCOUNT DESCRIPTION AMOUNT 722 Motor Equipment $55,000.00 SECTION II. Stancati, Director of Utilities TO: MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL SUBJECT: Ordinance for the Purchase -of Snow Removal Equipment and a Force Feed Loader (219) 284 -9322 The Bureau of Sewers is presenting an Ordinance to The Common Council which will approve the purchase of snow removal equipment and a force feed loader. Bids were let pursuant to the Statutes of the State of Indiana and were found competitive. The Contract was awarded to Deeds Equipment, South Bend, Indiana for the snow removal equipment and to Seastrom, Inc., Indianapolis, Indiana for the force feed loader, by the Board of Wastewater Commissioners on the 23rd day of August, 1978, as being the lowest and best bids. The amount of the purchase of the snow removal equipment is $33,744.00 and the force feed loader is $49,888.00. From the Department of Sewers $21,256.00 is to be used towards the purchase of the force feed loader. The balance is to be paid by the Street Department. John. F.
