AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT FROM DEEDS
EQUIPMENT COMPANY FOR THE AMOUNT OF
$14,000.00 DOLLARS.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
To approve the purchase of snow removal equipment from
Deeds Equipment Company for the Bureau of Water.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I. That the Contract for miscellaneous snow
equipment entered into between the Bureau of Water of the City
of South Bend, Indiana and Deeds Equipment Company, Indianapolis,
Indiana, on the 23rd day of August, 1978, pursuant to advertising
and receipt of bids, for the total cost not to exceed $14,000.00,
is hereby approved and confirmed.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.

SUBJECT: Ordinance for the Purchase of Snow Removal
Equipment
The Board of Public Works is presenting an
Ordinance to the Common Council which will approve the purchse of
snow removal equipment.
Bids were let pursuant to the Statutes of the
State of Indiana and were found competitive. The Contract was
awarded to Deeds Equipment, South Bend, Indiana, by the Board of
Public Works Commissioners
on the 23rd day
of
August, 1978, as being
the lowest and best bid.
Total net amount
of
this purchase is
$14,500.00.
