AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $15,890.00 OF STATE YOUTH
SERVICE BUREAU GRANT MONIES FROM THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND CRIME CONTROL FUND FOR VARIOUS YOUTH SERVICE
BUREAU ACTIVITIES DURING THE PERIOD JULY 1, 1978
THROUGH JUNE 30, 1979.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In that additional funding is needed for the Youth Service
Bureau to provide a full program, and in view that these funds are
authorized by the Indiana State Legislature through the Department of
Public Instruction to provide a means of support for the administration
of the Youth Service Bureaus in the State of Indiana.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The sum of $15,890.00 is hereby appropriated from
the Crime ControlFund. This appropriation is to be admininstered by the
Youth Service Bureau as set forth below:
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and
the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for emergency appropriations.

Enclosed is the appropriation ordinance for funds received from the-State
of Indiana in the amount of $15,890.00 to cover the period July, 1978 through
June, 1979.
As you can see the appropriation covers administrative costs not completely
covered by the 1978 Revenue Sharing request. These funds were taken into con-
sideration when putting together the revenue sharing request for 1979 as well.
