ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING
JANUARY 7, 19w-
Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in the
Council Chambers of the County -City Building on Monday, January 7, at 12 noon. The
meeting was called to order and the Pledge to the Flag was given.
ROLL CALL Present: Council Members Serge, Braboy, Puzzello,
Taylor, Zakrzewski, Crone, Paszek; Voorde_ and
Beck Beck
Absent: None
Council Member Taylor made a motion to have City Clerk, Irene Gammon, chair the
meeting, seconded by Council Member Serge. The motion carried.
Council Member Taylor made a motion to nominate Beverlie Beck for president,
seconded by Council Member Braboy. Council Member Taylor moved the nominations be
closed, seconded by Council Member Braboy. The motion carried. Council Member Beck
was elected on a vote of seven ayes and two nays (Council Members Crone and Voorde.)
Council Member Serge made a motion to nominate Eugenia Braboy as vice present,
seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. Council Member Taylor made a motion that the
nominations be closed, seconded by Council Member Serge. The motion carried.
Council Member Braboy was elected on a roll call vote of seven ayes and two nays
(Council Members Crone and Voorde.)
Council Member Puzzello made a motion to nominate Joseph Serge as Chairman of the
Committee of the Whole, seconded by Council Member Paszek. Council Member Taylor
made a motion to close nominations, seconded by Council Member Braboy. The motion
carried. Council Member Serge was elected on a roll call vote of seven ayes and two
nays (Council Members Crone and Voorde.)
The meeting was adjourned at 12:07 p.m.
