AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ALL PARK-
ING GARAGE FEES AND FUNDS-AND PARKING
VIOLATION FINES FOR THE YEAR 1979 TO
THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CIVIL
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE
USES AND PURPOSES SET FORTH THEREIN,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 190 OF.THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IND-
IANA OF 1955.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I. For the payment of the costs of maintenance,
operation, repair, ands her incidental costs and expenses in the oper-
ation of the off - street parking facilities leased by the City of South
Bend.from Parking Facilities of South Bend, Inc., for the year 1979, the
following sums of money are .hereby appropriated.

Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, and its approval by the Mayor.

Dear Council Members:
There will be presented for your consideration at the November 6, 1978 Council
meeting an ordinance appropriating revenues and fines of the parking system
for the calendar year 1979 parking garage and lots operating budget.
For 1979, there will be only one budget since the administration has eliminated
the on- street parking meters and therefore, the operating budget for that
function. The combined Meter and Garage budget for 1978 was $543,192.00.
The combined garage budget for 1979 is proposed at $441,463.00 or a reduction
of 19%. This can be attributed to a reduction in personnel, and a reduction
in debt service afforded us by the garage refinancing accomplished in 1978.

INDIANA OF 1955.

to the Council favorable.
